Fine Art Pigment Prints

Fine Art Pigment Prints

Printing my photos on a beautiful paper is the ultimate goal for my photography. I like to experiment with different papers and framing.

The fine art prints are printed on Epson SC 7500 printer using  Espon Ultrachrome HDX high longevity pigment inks. This printer can print 60 cm wide and with variable  length using roll papers.  For larger prints I use external print studios.

I use a number of different fine art papers depending on the images. The papers I work most with for the moment are;

Hahnemühle Agave 290 g/m²

Hahnemühle Agave  is produced using agave fibers. 70% of this unique, environmentally friendly finert inkjet paper is made from sisal fibers. The paper stands out with bright white natural tone and does not contain optical brighteners. The rough, but defined surface texture gives the subject a captivating sense of depth and impresses with a pleasant, soft feel.  Hahnemühle Agave is acid- and lignin-free and meets the most exacting requirements in terms of age resistance. The combination of unique raw fibre materials, bright white natural tone, balanced surface texture and the customary high print quality makes it an exclusive, versatile fineart inkjet paper.

Hahnemühle Museum Etching 350 g/m²

Hahnemühle Museum Etching is a natural white cotton art paper with an inkjet coating specially optimised for FineArt printing. This heavyweight textured paper does not contain optical brighteners and is characterised by its high stability. The finely textured surface with fine felt structure lends FineArt prints added depth and a three-dimensional effect. Combined with the pure cotton base, this creates a wonderfully soft tactile feel and artistic impression. The premium matt inkjet coating produces excellent print results. Colours are wonderfully vivid, the depth of the black truly stands out and details are reproduced perfectly. The acid- and lignin-free Museum Etching meets the most exacting requirements for age resistance and is ideal for reproducing photographs.

Awagami  Bizan Thick White - japanese paper - 300g/m²

For 300 years, Awagami has been making paper in Tokushima Japan.   Each sheet has a truly handmade look and feel and made from renewable, neutral pH and completely eco-friendly materials such as as Kozo (mulberry), Bamboo and Hemp.  The paper has museum-quality and archival permanence.  Made with a more subtle coating than other inkjet papers, images printed on this paper will unite with the paper itself creating a singular work of art.
